A mount designed in the Weaver style is lightweight and it positions an extended eye relief scope forward of the receiver. This enables quick sighting with both eyes open. The Weaver-style base includes several cross slots that allow a wide range of optical and electronic sights to be attached. The mount can be installed in existing holes or in the rear sight dovetail. The mount is positioned low enough to allow the use of iron sights without removing it. There are Marlin models available for the 1895 Guide Gun, the 1894 rifle and the 336 rifle. The mount also fits the Winchester Model 94’s that have rear sight dovetails located four inches forward from the receiver. No modifications are required for the rifle.
