The cartridge case is fully supported and aligned with the sizing bushing prior to the start of the sizing process, similar to Reddings Competition Seating Die design concept. During sizing, the case remains supported in the tightly chambered, sliding sleeve while moving upwards, as the resizing bushing centers itself on the case neck. The die's internal parts are utilized to support the decapping rod and maintain its precision alignment similar to that of a firing pin. In addition, the micrometer adjustment of the bushing position provides precise control over the desired amount of neck length to be sized.

These dies were designed for use by Competition Shooters who have thoroughly prepared their cartridge cases and prefer not to use a sizing button. However, carbide size button kits are available for separate purchase. Bushings and shell holders are also sold separately.
