The Tikka T3 and T3x has changed the firearm industry’s perception of a what a precision hunting rifle should be world-wide.  While the Tikka excels in almost every aspect a shooter could ask for in a rifle, one shortcoming hand loaders have struggled with since the rifle’s inception is the limited magazine length.

A logical magazine replacement would be the long action AICS magazines and clones.  While several bottom metal companies have attempted to make a bottom metal compatible with both these magazines and the T3/T3x, none have been able to create a solution that allows the use of longer case lengths… until now…

This bottom metal was 6 years in the making!  Through these years of trial and error, our design team has been able to create a kit that allows the shooter to utilize the full length available in these military grade magazines.

Standard COAL for long action AICS magazines is 3.60”
It is important to only use SAAMI length AICS style magazines with an external length of no more than 3.715”

It is important to remember that once a rifle is modified beyond the scope its original design, additional and unforeseen work may be necessary for reliable function.  Thus, installation, final fit and finish is best accomplished by a competent gunsmith.
