Forster Inside Neck reamers are used to eliminate superfluous brass from the inside of your case neck walls. The Forster Neck Reamer is crafted from wear-resistant tool steel and ground to a precision of .0025" to .003" beyond the maximum bullet diameter. It features a staggered tooth design which ensures smooth and chatter-free brass cutting. Neck reaming should be carried out only after firing cases with a full load, before the neck or even the full-length sizing process. While a tubing micrometer can be used to measure wall thickness, a quicker and easier way to detect excess brass within the neck area is to insert a bullet into a fired, unsized case neck. Once interference is detected, the neck should be either reamed or outside neck turned.
