Forster Inside Neck reamers are made to eliminate any surplus brass on the inside case neck walls. They are built with premium quality, durable tool steel and then ground down to .0025" to .003" over the largest bullet diameter. To extract the brass smoothly and without any noise, the Forster Neck Reamer is fashioned with a staggered tooth design. It is important to avoid reaming the neck before firing the cases with a full load and before the neck or sizing operation. Measuring the wall thickness can be done with a tubing micrometer, otherwise, a simpler test is to insert a bullet into the neck of a fired but unsized case; if there is contact, the neck requires reaming or outside neck turning.
