EGW suggests confirming that the hole spacing in your receiver matches the published dimensions. The Picatinny cross slots run the full length of the rail, providing flexibility in mounting scope rings and other accessories. The channel in the center reduces the mount's overall mass and may not hinder the usage of factory iron sights. For hunters and tactical shooters, EGW's one-piece scope mounts are an obvious choice. EGW machines these mounts in their shop using one of their machining centers, followed by tumbling, sandblasting, and Type III anodizing for long-lasting durability. For installation, use 20 inch lbs of torque and a drip of blue loctite (sold separately).
For shooting between 0-500 yards, EGW recommends the 0 MOA mount, while for ranges between 500-1000 yards, use the 20 MOA mount. When zeroing your rifle with the latter, it is recommended to zero at 200 yards. All parts of the mount and the accompanying accessories, right down to the packaging, are made in the USA.
This mount fits the Browning BAR (all calibers), Browning BLR Long Action, Browning BLR Takedown, Browning BPR, Browning Short Trac, and Benelli R1 (see note below). The Browning BAR MK3 DBM does not accept this mount because it comes with integrated Picatinny rails that can't be removed.
EGW changed the overall length of this mount from 5.488"" to 5.094"" in October 2019 to accommodate takedown models. So, should you buy it from a third-party seller, there might be a chance that it is older and won't fit your takedown.
This mount will cover the center hole on the Benelli R1 Rifles but will use the front and back pairs. However, this mount will not fit on the BAR ShortTrac Hog Stalker. EGW advises you to ensure that the hole spacing on older model BLRs matches the long action rail despite the caliber.
