The Adapter base is designed to fit "iron" rear sight dovetails, and facilitates easy mounting of a Burris Docter or similar red dot sight with a hole pattern that fits a Burris Docter base. It does not require any modifications to the slide. The adjustable hex-head screw ensures a secure lock in the dovetail, and the package includes two hex-head cap screws to secure the sight to the base. The adapter base comes in models that are compatible with Novak and Bo-Mar rear sight dovetails.
