Brownells offers HK® 416 compatible barrels under the BRN-4 lineup. Faxon makes these barrels and they are suitable for early generations of HK® 416 upper receivers and compatible components. These barrels matched perfectly with the BRN-4 bolt carrier group and gas block. Available in lengths of 10.4, 14.5, and 16 inches, they come in two contours - the classic “heavy” profile and the new “medium” profile. The heavy profile provides rigidity with minimal flex, while the medium profile saves weight making the rifle more handy. The barrels are button rifled, with a 1-7 twist and have commonly used ½-28 muzzle threads.  They have a deep black nitride finish that is both easy to clean and extremely hard interior and exterior. The BRN-4 barrel nut (430-100-141) allows for a robust matchup with the upper receiver, and the longer barrel extension. The barrels come with 5.56x45mm NATO chamberings that allow for a wide variety of commercially found ammunition, as well as 223 Remington cartridges. All the barrels have the same piston rod assembly (078-000-644), so there is no need to pick the right gas system length. However, ensure to select the right BRN-4 gas block to match the overall barrel length. The gas block coil pins (430-103-127) are recommended for final assembly. The recommended torque for the barrel nut is 50-80 ft/lbs.
